The second Workshop on Technology Transfer, organized by the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of Universidad de Chile in collaboration with Délégation Wallonie-Bruxelles in Santiago, and with LIEU (Liaison Universités Entreprises, Belgium), will be held between the 8th and the 11th april 2014 at the CMM installations.

This seminar has as objective the indagation on the different tendencies and success stories in the process of technology transfer, from scientific research to industrial and business sectors. The participants will present various models and transfer experiences of technology, in a  great variety of domains, as for example, biotechnology, bioinformatics, high performance computing, software development, transport, energy, and the sustainable development between others. The institutional strategies in the field of innovation and technology transfer will also be presented by the universities representatives.

As part of the program Dr. Tomás Pérez-Acle, Executive Director of the NLHPC, will be giving the following talk on the thursday: «A sustainability model for the National Laboratory for High Performance Computing (NLHPC): from the university to the industry»

The first version of these workshops was celebrated at the CMM in september 2012.
